Food Safety Information & Compliance: CanadaGAP Training
Kim Best is the owner of Prospect Agri-Services and has over 25 years experience working with farmers in the horticultural industry. From 2006-2011 Kim volunteered on a number of the Canadian Horticultural Council's industry-lead on-farm food safety committee's. Kim is a qualified auditor for CanadaGAP and three other on-farm programs. Kim is a past agri-business director of Horticultural Nova Scotia and along with her employees, run numerous annual field cultivar and management research trials on NS farms. Kim will provide participants with some insight as to what is expected from a farm operator to become certified on the CanadaGAP program and share practical solutions to the requirements she has seen as an auditor and trainer on other Atlantic Farms.

Strategies and tools will be introduced providing producers and other participants with the opportunity to develop or improve the social media presence for themselves and their businesses.Tools, tips and tricks will be covered for Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, Pinterest and other platforms.
